Silvia Cortez, RN, BSN, is the Owner and CEO of Pristine Ethereal Aesthetics in Fresno, California. She founded Pristine with a clear vision: to create a premier destination where advanced aesthetic medicine and wellness come together to deliver natural, refined results and an exceptional client experience. Since opening the practice nearly two years ago, Silvia has built a reputation for delivering aesthetic treatments that enhance natural beauty while maintaining balance, harmony, and authenticity.

With over 25 years of nursing experience, Silvia brings an exceptional depth of clinical expertise to aesthetic medicine. She is an ICU-trained Registered Nurse with critical care certifications, currently serving in leadership within a large metropolitan intensive care unit. Her background in high-acuity critical care has shaped her meticulous attention to detail, precision, and patient safety—skills that translate seamlessly into the world of advanced aesthetic treatments.

Silvia’s approach to aesthetics is both clinical and artistic. Combining the precision developed in critical care with a refined aesthetic eye, she specializes in natural-looking enhancements that refresh and restore without appearing overdone. Dr. Shahzad Anwar, MD, serves as the Medical Director for Pristine Ethereal Aesthetics in Fresno, California. A nationally recognized leader in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Anwar brings extensive clinical expertise, advanced training, and a patient-centered philosophy to the practice.

With a commitment to delivering exceptional results, Dr. Anwar specializes in modern aesthetic treatments that enhance natural beauty while prioritizing safety, precision, and individualized care. His approach focuses on understanding each patient’s unique health and aesthetic goals and using the most advanced techniques and technologies available to achieve refined, natural-looking outcomes.

Dr. Anwar earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of California, Davis, before completing his Doctor of Medicine degree, Cum Laude, from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and holds additional certifications in Aesthetic Medicine and Anti-Aging Medicine, reflecting his dedication to the evolving field of regenerative and aesthetic healthcare.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Anwar serves as a medical director for multiple aesthetic practices throughout California, including locations in Roseville, Walnut Creek, and Yuba City. He is widely respected in the industry as a nationally recognized advanced aesthetic injector and trainer, working with leading aesthetic companies such as Revance Aesthetics and Evolus to educate other providers on advanced injection techniques.

Dr. Anwar has also pioneered several innovative aesthetic treatment concepts, including Modern Refresh™, Modern Lip™, Modern Facial™, and the wellness-based Modern Reset™, which emphasize balanced, natural enhancements and overall patient wellness.

He holds additional advanced certifications through the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the International Peptide Society, and Sonosthetics for Ultrasound-Guided Aesthetic Procedures.

Through his leadership as Medical Director, Dr. Anwar helps ensure that Pristine Ethereal Aesthetics maintains the highest standards of medical oversight, patient safety, and clinical excellence, supporting the team in delivering cutting-edge aesthetic and wellness treatments to the Fresno community.

Esther Cortes, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Advanced Nurse Injector with over 17 years of experience in healthcare. Her career began as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), and through dedication to lifelong learning and patient care, she advanced to Registered Nurse and ultimately earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree.

Esther brings a diverse and well-rounded clinical background to aesthetic medicine, with experience in women’s health, labor and delivery, postpartum care, pediatrics, vascular access, perioperative specialties, and outpatient plastic surgery centers. This broad foundation allows her to approach aesthetics with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and patient-centered care.

In the world of aesthetic medicine, Esther combines advanced clinical expertise with a keen artistic eye. She specializes in delivering natural, balanced results that enhance each patient’s unique features—never overdone, always refreshed. Her philosophy is simple: great aesthetic work should make people say “You look amazing,” not “What did you have done?”

Esther is deeply committed to patient education, ongoing professional training, and developing customized treatment plans that help clients look their best while feeling confident in their own skin.

Robert Cortez, LVN, is an Advanced Nurse Injector and the Practice Manager for Pristine Ethereal Aesthetics. With over 13 years of nursing experience, Robert brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, healthcare leadership, and entrepreneurial insight to the world of aesthetic medicine.

Robert’s healthcare career began at the bedside as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, where he developed a strong foundation in patient-centered care. He later expanded his leadership experience by becoming a Licensed Healthcare Administrator, spending seven years working within highly regulated healthcare systems and overseeing complex clinical operations.

In October 2023, Robert co-founded and helped build a highly successful medical spa in Oregon, where he played a key role in developing the operational structure, clinical workflows, and growth strategy of the practice. Under his leadership, the business rapidly expanded from a startup operation to a thriving full-service med spa with eight employees, four treatment rooms, and a wide range of advanced aesthetic services.

Robert brings this same expertise and strategic vision to Pristine Ethereal Aesthetics, where he serves as Practice Manager and consultant. His strengths in business development, compliance, patient experience, and operational scalability help position the practice for long-term growth and excellence in aesthetic medicine.

As an Advanced Nurse Injector, Robert is passionate about delivering natural, confidence-boosting aesthetic results while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and education. His approach combines clinical precision with a deep understanding of the art of aesthetics.
